Launch guides
Practical, no-fluff guides on launching and growing an AI tool.
- How to launch an AI tool in 2026: the practical playbookWhat to do the week before, on launch day, and the week after — no fluff, just the steps that actually move the needle.
- Directory backlinks: dofollow, badges, and what actually moves rankingsHow directory links work, what dofollow really means, and why the badge on your site matters more than you think.
- Your first 100 users: the 5 channels that work for AI toolsThe five channels that bring real users to new AI tools — and how much effort each one takes.
- Where to launch an AI tool in 2026: the 3-layer launch stackThe three layers of launch sites — launch feeds, directories, and communities — what each one actually delivers, and the order to use them in.
- AEO in 2026: 5 changes that get your AI tool cited by ChatGPTWhat Answer Engine Optimization is, and the five concrete changes that make AI engines cite your site in their answers.
- The AI tool landing page that converts: one line, proof, one buttonThe landing structure that turns directory and launch-day visitors into users: what goes above the fold, what counts as proof, and what to delete.
- The 6 pages that win buyers: data from 1,000 searches (2026)Which page to build for each buying decision — alternatives, comparisons, pricing, reviews, and free trial — per a July 2026 study of 1,000 buy-intent searches.
- Claude Code alternatives: 7 terminal coding agents comparedClaude Code alternatives fall into three groups: open-source terminal agents you point at your own API key, vendor CLIs bundled with an existing subscription, and editor extensions. The right pick depends on whether you are cutting cost, removing a single-vendor dependency, or changing where the model runs.
- Cursor alternatives: editors, CLIs and free tiers comparedCursor alternatives split by form factor: another AI-first editor, an extension bolted onto the editor you already use, or a terminal agent with no editor at all. Cost follows form factor, because extensions and CLIs let you bring your own key instead of buying seats plus usage credits.
- Cowork vs Claude Code: which Anthropic tool for which jobClaude Cowork and Claude Code are both Anthropic agents on the same subscription, but they are not substitutes. Claude Code is a terminal coding agent; Cowork delegates multi-step knowledge work across files, calendar, email and connected tools, and now runs on web and mobile.
- Cowork vs OpenClaw: managed agent or self-hosted oneClaude Cowork and OpenClaw both delegate multi-step tasks, but the comparison is really hosted versus self-hosted. Cowork runs remote sessions on Anthropic's infrastructure under a subscription. OpenClaw is MIT-licensed software you run yourself, on your hardware, with your own model keys.
- OpenClaw vs Claude Code: scope, hosting and safetyOpenClaw and Claude Code are searched against each other but solve different problems. Claude Code is a subscription coding agent scoped to a repository in your terminal. OpenClaw is MIT-licensed general-purpose automation driven from messaging apps, with much wider permissions and matching risk.
- Lovable vs Base44: code export, lock-in and pricingLovable and Base44 both generate working apps from prompts, but they differ on the question that decides a switch: what you can take with you. Lovable documents two-way GitHub sync on all plans. Base44 requires its Builder plan for sync and keeps the backend on its own infrastructure.
- Midjourney vs Nano Banana: cost model and image rightsMidjourney sells subscription plans with no free tier and a strong aesthetic house style. Nano Banana is Google's nickname for a family of Gemini image models reachable through the Gemini app, AI Studio and the API. The real choice is subscription-and-style versus metered-and-integrated, not which model draws better.
- ElevenLabs vs Speechify: usage rights, not just voicesElevenLabs and Speechify both turn text into speech, but they sell to different buyers. ElevenLabs is a creator and developer platform whose commercial licence starts at its first paid tier. Speechify's consumer plan is a personal listening licence, with commercial rights sold separately.
- ChatGPT alternatives for coding: agents that edit your repoThe best ChatGPT alternatives for coding are not other chat windows. They are agents with repository access: terminal tools like Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI and Aider, or editor-resident tools like Copilot, Cline and Continue, which read and change files directly.
- ChatGPT alternatives for image generation: rights and costFor image generation, the alternatives to ChatGPT differ most on licensing and cost model, not on prompt quality. Google's Gemini image models are metered through an API, Midjourney sells subscriptions with no free tier, and open-weight models split sharply on commercial rights.
