Who we are
AI Alt Finder is operated by Ellelion LLC, a company registered in Wyoming, United States. Ellelion LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. Contact info@ellelion.com for any privacy question or request.
What we collect, why, and our legal basis
Account data (your email address and a hashed password, or an OAuth identity) — to provide your account, on a contract basis. Listing content you submit (tool name, URL, description, category, logo) — to operate the catalog, on a contract basis. Contact-seller messages sent through a for-sale listing — to deliver your message to the seller, on a contract basis. Analytics (first-party page views and clicks, and Google Analytics 4 where enabled) — to understand and improve the site, only on your consent, gated by the cookie banner. Payment metadata handled by Stripe when you buy a paid placement — to process payment and keep tax records, on a contract and legal-obligation basis. Security and abuse logs — to protect the service, on a legitimate-interest basis. We collect the minimum needed for each purpose and we do not sell personal information.
Cookies and tracking
Strictly-necessary cookies (login, session, and the consent record itself) are always on and need no consent. Analytics cookies load only after you accept them in the cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time; declining leaves the rest of the site fully usable. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out and keep analytics off.
Who we share data with
We only share data with the processors needed to run AI Alt Finder: Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email), and AI model providers accessed through the Vercel AI Gateway (used to reword listing descriptions for other markets in the network). Each processor is bound by its own data-processing terms, and we do not sell your data to anyone.
International transfers
Ellelion LLC is a United States company, so personal data is processed in the United States. For transfers from the EEA/UK, where our processors (Vercel, Neon, Stripe, Resend, and AI model providers via the Vercel AI Gateway) process data in the United States or elsewhere, we rely on their Standard Contractual Clauses, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, as applicable to that processor.
Retention
We keep account and listing data for as long as your account is active. Deletion is handled as a manual process within one month of an emailed request to info@ellelion.com, after which we remove your data from our own systems and ask our processors to do the same. Contact-seller messages are kept only as long as needed to deliver and support the exchange. Analytics data, once enabled, is minimized and kept in aggregate form. Server and request logs follow our hosting provider's own default retention window (Vercel's standard log retention) rather than a schedule we manage or rotate ourselves.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. Email info@ellelion.com to make a request; we verify your identity first and respond within one month. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection supervisory authority.
Children
AI Alt Finder is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from, or direct advertising or profiling at, children.
Security
We use TLS in transit, encryption at rest, salted password hashing, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we maintain a breach-response process.
Automated decisions
We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you by solely automated means.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the last update, and we will flag material changes.
